I think you have the right place, it's at the north end of Playa Larga. If you climb the rocks you can see around the corner to Playa Manzanillo. I tried this but when the buzzards started to gather around the canyon I called it a day. Next time there I'll make it to that little beach and enjoy the snorkeling there, before that superhighway comes in.

By the way it's mostly natural erosion that causes those wonderful sculptures. Fat kids don't make it that far up the beach!
