No cost. Just the peace of mind of being able to travel with your documents in order.
Always wondered, had my suspicions but never an inkling. That's why I'm sharing our experience here. As for it's being new or not I don't know but I'm glad they we were informed at the border of the way to be sure that all was in order.
I guess the next move is to get Mexican driver's licenses.
