Palm trees and palapas on Playa La Ropa at the old Calpulli Hotel
This is the area on Playa La Ropa where in 1974 I first met the girl who 15 years later would become my wife. For my wife and me it holds a very sentimental place in our hearts. It was love at first sight then and has been ever since. This spot on the beach is in front of where the Calpulli Hotel used to be. Nothing there now but a construction site next to the old Villa del Sol where the new owners plan to build a multimillion dollar condo project. It's enough to make a po' boah just wanna cry.
